Participation in conferences and trade fairs is an indispensable component of our daily activities. Thanks to these meetings we have the opportunity to be up to date with the latest industry news, learn, inspire and make new contacts. The calendar of events dedicated to our industry is very rich and we are not able to show up at all events, which is why we choose the most important ones. Only in May we participated in two world events: Interzum in Cologne and LIGNA in Hanover.
Interzum is the world’s leading furniture and interior design trade show. It is a meeting place for industry leaders and trend makers from around the world. This is where the impulse for innovation and change for the entire global furniture supply industry comes from. It is here that contacts are made which translate into real actions. We are very pleased that the organizers are paying more and more attention to environmental issues. Exhibitors for whom sustainable development and life with the least amount of pollution are a priority appeared in the “Eco Materials” panel. For the furniture industry, it has become clear that consumers want to minimize their ecological footprint and avoid exposure to harmful effects within their own four walls. Therefore, when choosing their furniture, they pay special attention to the reuse of raw materials, as well as the use of environmentally friendly materials. We had the opportunity to meet in one place almost all producers of wood-based materials and representatives of related industries.
The next conference in recent days was LIGNA in Hanover.
LIGNA is a world-class trade fair for tools, machines and equipment for woodworking and processing, which took place from 27. to 31. May 2019. Exhibitors, manufacturers and visitors had the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and solutions that are the answer to the current industry challenges which are: shrinking raw material resources, energy consumption, value optimization and the use of ecological materials. We are very pleased that we are also finding more and more items dedicated to ecological solutions in the LIGNA program.
